Connemara Marble
Connemara Marble is a metamorphic rock, which is formed when sedimentary or igneous rocks are altered by high temperatures or pressure, or both. The heat and pressure change the texture, appearance and chemical composition of the rock. This typical green marble is only found in the Connemara Mountains in the West of Ireland, and dates back 900 million years to the pre-Cambrian period. These products are hand carved and hand polished by skilled craftsmen and are renowned worldwide for their finest colour and finish.
