Connemara Marble and Onyx Pendant
This beautiful necklace contains a Circular pendant made from Ireland's National Stone, Connemara Marble. The piece is set off using Sterling Silver detailing, holding an oval shaped Black Onyx.
Connemara Marble is a metamorphic rock, which is formed when sedimentary or igneous rocks are altered by high temperatures or pressure, or both. The heat and pressure change the texture, appearance and chemical composition of the rock. This typical green marble is only found in the Connemara Mountains in the West of Ireland, and dates back 900 million years to the pre-Cambrian period. These products are hand carved and hand polished by skilled craftsmen and are renowned worldwide for their finest colour and finish.
Onyx is a type of chalcedony which usually occurs in the form of layers of a variety of colours including; black, white, red, orange, brown, green and honey. It is most commonly found in India and Egypt. Onyx can be used to banish grief and sorrows, enhance self-control and encourage happiness and good fortune. It stimulates the power of wise decision making. It can be used in the treatment of disorders related to bone marrow, soft tissue structures and the feet.
This Pendant comes with a 16" Sterling Silver Chain.
